Let’s Talk RivrMaids
Given our penchant for underpromising and overdelivering, the RivrDoge Team tried our hands at a “stealth launch” of NFTs. Paired with less-than-ideal market conditions and a bit of drama in the “Moonriver Apes” telegram, the fact that we increased our Mint amount to 1024 at the last minute has created a bit of a backlog of RivrMaids.
We are venturing to address this in a few ways. First, in addition to minting at RivrDogeMint.com you can now mint RivrMaids on the MoonbeansTokens Marketplace (where RivrMaids will be traded upon completion of the Mint). Our great partnership and friendship with Moonbeans should deliver more eyeballs to the project.
Second, we are going to spill a little alpha about the upcoming MetaVerse Game planned by our NFT developer. RivrMaids will be compatible with that game — discussed more below!
Third, we hope that a renewed upfront plan for what we intend to do with the fees generated by the mints will help. 70% of the minting fee goes to the RivrDoge Team Wallets. We have set forth that we will distribute that in the following ways going forward (from roughly Mint 270):
- 20% of the minting fee will be used to buyback and burn RivrDoge;
- 20% of the minting fee will be used for both further marketing in anticipation of Sushi and expenses such as the purchase of RivrDoge for “syrup pools” at various exchanges; and
- 30% will be used to pair with RivrDoge and increase liquidity at the various farms supporting RivrDoge.
Finally, we thought Sushi’s “soon” was a bit more “soon” than Sushi did, so we figured that people would be bridging in via Sushi sooner than they were. We wanted those people to be able to mint RivrMaids. Sushi now plans to go live November 1. We will revisit ending the Mint early if it is still stagnating at that time.
MetaVerse Game
A true cross-project MetaVerse Game is the brainchild of Loki at wisemovrs.com. The more projects onboard, the more valuable such a game would become. We have been keeping this under wraps, because of our style and because it is not our projects, but we can “spill the beans” at little bit that the MoonBeansToken crew have announced that their Beanies are compatible and that projects launching on their platform will have the option to have the MetaVerse Code injected. If you’ve ever wanted to battle other projects, this will be your chance!
RivrDoge’s Name Is One Step Closer
We have narrowed the name selection down to 4. It was a tough decision, but these are the finalists:
- @geek_james with their suggestion of Rover (which will probably be changed to the correct spelling of Rovr);
- @StarsLinedRight with their suggestion of Calypso;
- @Willvax with their suggestion of Soaky; and
- @CryptoStew with their suggestion of Luna.
Each individual has been contacted about transferring their WiseMovrs NFT from our great friends at Wisemovrs! Now the battle for 100,000 $RivrDoge begins (along with any of the bonus prizes that are still in play). Contestants should feel encouraged to lobby for their name to be selected prior to the vote which will be coming “soon.”
Two New Pool Parties!
With everything else going on, we also want to thank our great fiends at MoonSwap and Freeriver for setting RivrDoge up with some high-paying LP Farms!
The Liquidity mining at Freeriver (RivrDoge/FREE) moved to their “DRAGON” farming side. We are very excited for Freeriver’s upcoming Dragon NFT Game — we are hoping to enlist a dragon to help with our burning event. We are also super excited that Freeriver has launched their open marketplace for NFTs where you can mint and list any NFTs!
MoonSwap also added a RivrDoge/MOVR pool to their v2 farms. We are very excited about high-paying yields at the farm. We are also eager to see what MoonSwap has in store in November after their alpha drop this morning.
